Hello, just wanted to say the game look really fun and look like it might fill the Kamen Rider shaped hole in my ttrpg campaign.
Still I had a question, the mechanic of evolution is mentioned a few time in the book, but it's not very clear what it's supposed to do. I understand it supossed to represent the many transformations of Kamen Rider but not how the rules are supposed to work. Could you maybe give an example or something of how it might work in game ?
So! I'm going to add some further clarification into the book very soon, and it goes a little something like this:
EVOLUTION
A skill that grants the target a new and more powerful form that changes or augments their skills and items. Evolution skills never cost POWER to use but may have cooldowns.
Usually the standard way that I write out evolution skills is as follows:
[Character name] is EXILED and returns to the battlefield as EVOL WARRIOR [Evolved Title], when they return: [ A special ability of some kind]. [Duration: x turns] [Cooldown: Half of duration]
Here's an example:
Aeden is EXILED and returns to the battlefield as EVOL WARRIOR ENCODE, when he returns: He scans all enemies and becomes aware of either one of their traits or one of their Abilities. Scanned enemies cannot attack him on their first turn.
Evolution abilities are typically tied to a gadget called a driver, which is just a fancy word for a transformation device. I will also be releasing an example list of items that will include evolution gadgets. So stay tuned! I hope this explanation helps break it down in a better way!
I would do it similarly to the standard format, but I'd drop the EXILED part and switch it out for a temporary BOOST.
Like maybe instead of being EXILED, the player gains the ability to move without paying a POWER cost. Or, they gain up to 3 new ABILITIES. Stuff like that. Depending on the theming, I'd go wild with it!
Thank you so much!!! If you'd ever like recommendations for the kinds of shows in the genre that are really good let me know! Also, I appreciate the feedback!
Hooray! & tysm for the recommendations! I've printed the game out to add to my indie TTRPG binder, because I'm hoping to run it at a TTRPG convention in February! If I have any questions as I read & prep, I'll let you know.
You should be on a page with 2 tabs namely Review and Analytics
On the Review Bundle Tab, Scroll down to the very bottom. That is after Name, Description, Status and Participants, Content and Revenue Split.
You'll see a button labelled "Approve and Join Bundle"
Click it and that's all
NB: Every participant must approve and join the bundle for the bundle to start and a support message has been sent to itch.io to even out the splits (fractional splits aren't available to hosts but only itch).

Hey thank you it really does help to clarify !
It's funny it read a bit like some Yu-Gi-Oh or Magic card.
Follow-up question, how would you do power up ? The same way or would you do it a bit differently ? Like by ditching the EXILED maybe ?

I'm not overly familiar with tokusatsu/henshin media, but I love the style of this game! It's so cool!

I would love recommendations! :D
Also, question: would you ever consider uploading .pdf/local, non-web version of the documents for things like Abilities?
Of course! I plan on making PDFs for abilities and traits soon, I just need the time.
As for recommendations... Hmmmm
I think you should watch:
